Winners were announced last week and East Haven, CT producer Calabro Cheese is thrilled to announce that four of their products brought home top awards:

Hand Dipped Ricotta – 1 st Place

Ricotta di Bufala – 2nd Place

Bocconcini Fresh Mozzarella – 2nd Place

Old Fashioned Gourmet Fresh Mozzarella – 2nd Place

The competition recognizes products for their achievements in flavor, aroma, texture, and appearance and the judges are food professionals selected from academia and the dairy sciences industry, as well as culture manufacturers, food retailers, food distributors, and members of the food media.

"I am so proud of our line of award-winning cheeses and our team of cheese makers that produced them. Our Ricotta has won more medals than any other Ricotta throughout the many years of this prestigious competition” said Frank Angeloni, CEO of Calabro Cheese. “The event takes on a weighted significance because of the blend and composition of the judges. They are the true connoisseurs in this industry.”
