Dear Customer,

The new Coronavirus is a respiratory virus that spreads via close contact with an infected person. The primary route of transmission is the droplets of the infected person's breath carried by saliva, coughing and sneezing, through direct personal contact or through the hands, e.g. by touching mouth, nose or eyes with contaminated and yet unwashed hands. The virus has a low survival rate in the environment. Moreover, there is no scientific evidence that this type of virus can be transmitted through food. In addition, Calabro products such as Ricotta, Mozzarella, Fresh Mozzarella, cream, Fresh Basket cheese and all of our products are obtained only from pasteurized milk, even if it were present, the heat treatment will guarantee it is eliminated. As well as e.g. vinegars with very low content of free water or low pH value are not suitable for carrying the virus.

The technological treatment is followed by a packaging phase with the implementation of compulsory sanitizing procedures that protect the products from the external environment. The following phases protect the packaged product.

The products are transferred to logistics handling for distribution. The platforms apply strict control procedures in compliance with the directives from our SQF, FDA, USDA, and HACCP programs in charge. In order to follow the daily evolution of the situation, a Standing Crisis Committee has been set up by Calabro Management. The Committee has identified the most appropriate actions to ensure continuity in production, distribution and protection of our employees and customers.

Our customers’ business continuity is a key priority. We want to minimize service disruptions or impacts to your business. Our goal is to offer the level of quality, responsiveness and support that you have come to expect from Calabro.

Thank you for your continued partnership during this very difficult period.
